FLIGHT SIMULATOR BOOKINGS AND VOUCHER SALES AND REDEMPTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The following terms and conditions apply to flight simulator bookings and voucher sales and redemptions for Flight Rush, Airline Training Solutions, Flight Simulation Centres, and Air Combat Centre (the businesses). By booking a flight or buying a voucher or redeeming a voucher whether sold directly by any of the businesses or through a third party agent, or Online Travel Agent (OTA) with whom we have an agreement with to sell our products, you agree to the businesses’ terms and conditions in addition to the terms and conditions of the OTA. Where the businesses’ terms and conditions differ to an OTA then the businesses’ terms and conditions over-ride the OTA’s unless we specifically agree in writing. Failure to comply with terms and conditions may result in cancellation of a booking or session and rebooking fees being applied. Terms and conditions may be subject to change at our discretion. Changes to our terms and conditions will apply retrospectively to all current flight simulator bookings and vouchers. These terms and conditions also apply to any observers or persons accompanying the participant.

MIMINUM AGE/HEIGHT/MAXIMUM WEIGHT: 

All our flights (except the full motion helicopter simulator) have a minimum age of 12 years old, and a minimum height of 150cm (4’11”) to a maximum height of 6’4” and maximum weight of 130kg due to the physical size of some of the cockpits. Any variations must be pre-arranged with us before purchasing, and it is at our discretion as to whether the flight is able to be done.

Full Motion Helicopter

The full motion helicopter experience has a minimum age of 18 with height and weight restrictions as above.

Simulator and Decathlon Aerobatic Aircraft

The F/A-18 simulator and Decathlon aerobatic package has a minimum age of 15.

Under 12

We don’t recommend flights for children under 12 years old as these aren’t games and the size of the cockpits may mean they cannot see the screen or external visual displays which is needed to fly the simulators. We have cushions but there is a limit to what we can do. We do make exceptions but these need to be discussed and pre-arranged with us. Children need to be able to listen and follow instructions to get the best out of the experience. For children under 12 we suggest a 30 minute basic flight without too much complexity so they don’t lose concentration or get bored.

Even if we have approved a flight, our instructors are able to terminate a flight, even if underway, where they deem the child is not able to complete the flight, is not cooperating, or there is a risk of damage to equipment etc.

Under 18 Accompanied by responsible person.

All participants under 18yo must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or a responsible person aged 18 or above. If a person 18 or above is not available with the participant then the session cannot be run and will be cancelled and rebooked to a time where a person 18 or above is available to accompany the person. A cancellation/rescheduling fee of $55 will be applied, along with a $2.20 credit card fee if applicable.

NO DISABLED FACILITIES: 

There are no disabled facilities or disabled access to simulators at our sites. Participants must be able to climb stairs and get in and out of cockpits with only minimal assistance by a parent, relative, or friend. Staff are not able to assist or lift persons.

HEALTH/MEDICAL CONDITIONS: 

Participants need to make their own decision as to whether the flight simulator is suitable for them to undertake the activity in relation to any of their health or medical conditions or any other matters whether known to the participant/responsible person or not.

PARTICIPANT/VISITOR WHS OBLIGATIONS: 

All participants and visitors must comply with state and federal legislation related to the workplace by taking reasonable care of your own health and safety, and the health and safety of others, use common sense, and follow health and safety procedures, instructions and rules. No dangerous goods or substances or weapons are permitted. Visitors must use safety equipment and personal protective equipment, as instructed, and leave the workplace in a safe and clean condition.

ALCOHOL, DRUGS AND OTHER SUBSTANCES: 

The consumption or use of alcohol, drugs or other substances is not permitted. Persons who are intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other substances will not be permitted to enter the facility or participate or observe simulator flights. If a session is cancelled for this reason a cancellation/rebooking fee will be applied which must be paid before a new session is booked.

SMOKING: 

Smoking, vaping, or the use of e-cigarettes or similar is not permitted within 15m of the facility or grounds, and is not permitted in the facility or flight simulator. The simulator is a relatively small environment and we ask anyone participating or observing a simulator flight not to smoke on the day before the session out of respect for instructors and other persons who may be nearby in the facility. 

SHOES: 

Stilettos, pointy high heel shoes, sandals or thongs are not permitted in the trailer, building or simulator. Enclosed shoes are to be worn at all times by all persons.

FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS: 

Participants and visitors must follow instructions from workers or contractors related to safety, procedures, and the operation of equipment while in the workplace. 

DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT: 

Any damage to equipment or property must be paid for by the participant, or if a minor, by the person who is legally responsible for the minor.

OBSERVERS: 

There is limit of 2 observers permitted for most simulators due to size. Any additional observers must be approved by us in advance. The flight itself is only for the person named on the voucher. Observers may have to stand. There are no disabled facilities. We do not have a waiting room etc for other persons. 

The full motion helicopter simulator only has space for one other observer as all persons must be seated with seat belts fastened for the entire flight. 

PRICES: 

Prices on the website is for the flight simulator session. We reserve the right to change prices on activities without notice. If a simulator flight date has not been booked within 12 months of issue of a voucher then the voucher will be redeemed against the current cost of the same activity and any difference will need to be paid before the activity is booked or goes ahead. Refer to other terms and conditions for more information. All prices include Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the current rate of 10% in Australia. We guarantee prices for an activity on a correctly issued voucher for 12 (twelve) months from the date of purchase of the voucher.

Sometimes, despite our best efforts, products may be incorrectly displayed on our website or a partner/agent website at a price that is lower than the correct price. Where there is such an error, we will notify you of the error as soon as possible after we become aware of it, to provide you with the option of purchasing the product at the correct price. In the event that you do not wish to pay the correct price, we reserve our rights to cancel your order, in which case we will refund you any payments that you have made to us in respect of that product, or offer you a lower priced product with a voucher for the remaining credit with the same expiry dates as the original. If you take the lower priced product only a credit will be allowed on the difference, we do not refund the difference.

ADD-ONS: 

Other associated services, additional simulator time, products or merchandise, etc may be available as an add-on either at the time of purchasing a flight simulator session or voucher, or may be purchased separately at the time of the simulator session. Where you wish to purchase any add-ons these must be paid for and funds cleared in our account before the service or product etc is provided to you. Our preferred method of payment for add-ons is by bank transfer and no credit card fees apply to this method.

Add-ons are not available through third-party agents/OTAs and can only be purchased through our website. If planning to purchase an add-on at the time of a flight booking please allow additional time for this to occur before the start of your session. 

We will try to video all flights in case you decide you wish to purchase the video at the end of a simulator flight. Payments for these must be paid for immediately after the flight and funds cleared in our account before the service or product etc is provided to you. If you do not pay for the video after the flight and later change your mind, we may not have kept the video.

GIFT VOUCHER CARD/CERTIFICATE (ADD-ON): 

A handwritten Gift Certificate/Card is able to be sent within Australia by post to a gift voucher recipient by the businesses on behalf of the purchaser for an additional $22, plus credit card fees if applicable. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to supply the businesses with the correct details including name TO, name FROM, postal address, and short message details for inclusion on the gift card.

PAYMENTS: 

Payments for simulator flights, vouchers, or add-ons, can be made by credit card (bank fees apply) or direct deposit (no bank fees). We pass on the credit card and booking fees to customers. Payments made by direct deposit still incur a booking fee. Refer to other sections for full details of fees.

Where a payment is to be made by bank transfer for a flight or gift voucher the payment must be made on the same day as the online order is placed. Sales, flights, and vouchers are not valid until full payment is received in our account. 

Payment of simulator sessions and vouchers and the bank transfer details are as detailed in the information provided with the order.

Please ensure payments are made by Osko for immediate processing. The businesses are not responsible for delays in bank transfers and processing. Where the full payment is not received within 3 days we will cancel the associated flight or voucher.

We do not normally accept cash payments, all payments must be through our websites. Our preferred payment method is by bank transfer/direct deposit. We do not accept payments made by cheque, or via PayPal, PayID, or any other similar online payment systems. 

We may add afterpay as an option, and if so, any fees charged to the businesses by afterpay will be passed on to the purchaser in the same way as are credit card fees. Afterpay fees are $0.30/transaction, plus up to 6% of the transaction value. Booking fees also apply.

All simulator flights and vouchers include a goods-and-services tax (GST), which is currently 10% of the base amount.

We do not store your credit card details on any of our systems which is why you need to re-enter credit card details each time you make a purchase.

Vouchers cannot be redeemed or a flight booked until full payment is received in our account. If the full payment has not been received any flight booked cannot go ahead and will be cancelled. 

SECURITY AND VALIDITY OF PURCHASES THROUGH AGENTS:

We have had instances of agents claiming to represent our businesses when we have had no relationship with them. We are unable to provide a flight for a voucher, gift card or booking through an agent if we have no relationship with them as we would not be paid for the flight. We prefer that you purchase your flight, voucher or gift card through our businesses directly.

FEES: 

The following fees may apply to purchases of flights or vouchers: Booking fee; credit card fee/s (we offer one fee free option); Booking cancellation fee $55; No show fee $55; Booking change fee $22; Voucher extension/reactivation fee $55 plus the difference between the price actually paid (not the face value) and the current price of the same activity. These fees must be paid before a new booking is made.

We charge a transaction fee to recover the costs incurred for credit card payments and afterpay fees. We do not charge a fee for payments made using other accepted payment methods. Fees will not apply when redeeming a gift voucher. Transaction fees vary dependent on the payment method chosen. If transaction fees apply, the transaction fees charged will be displayed to customers at the time of purchase. A booking fee is charged by the processing website and this fee is passed on to customers regardless of the payment method.

VOUCHERS/GIFT CARDS: 

Vouchers are valid only for the period stated on the voucher. Vouchers/Gift Cards are delivered electronically by email. Full price vouchers are valid for 3 years. Discount or sale vouchers (if offered) are valid for the period stated on the voucher.

Flight bookings and Gift Vouchers(full price and discounted and sale etc)  are not refundable or redeemable for cash.

Voucher are only valid for the person to who it was issued/gifted and cannot be transferred to another person, traded, or resold etc.

Physical Voucher/Gift Card and additional fee

If you wish to have a physicVoucher/Gift Card sent to the recipient an additional fee of $27.50 applies. A short handwritten message can be included on the card. Inappropriate messages will not be included.

VALUE ONLY: 

Vouchers are issued for a certain value, and although they list an activity at the time of purchase, if the price rises before a session booking date then the participant will need to pay the additional cost to bring the total price up to the current activity price (plus any booking fees or charges at the time of redeeming the voucher including credit card fees), ie. 30 minutes to 30 minutes, and 60 minutes to 60 minutes. Prices are guaranteed for 12 (twelve) months from the date of purchase for full price vouchers as detailed in other terms and conditions.

VOUCHERS FOR ACTIVITIES NO LONGER OFFERED: 

Activity types and codes may change over time as well as prices. We are not obliged to offer a particular experience nor to offer the experience at the same price. Where an activity is no longer offered and a valid voucher is held (ie. not expired and the original recipient), we will allow the voucher to be transferred to a comparable current offered activity, ie. 30 minute to a 30 minute, and 60 minute to a 60 minute, on payment of any price difference from the price paid to the current activity price, plus credit card fees if applicable. We offer one fee free option.

DISCOUNTED, PROMOTIONAL OR SALE VOUCHERS: 

Discounted, promotional or sale vouchers are only valid for a reduced time and for a specific activity as stated on the voucher, eg. over a holiday period or season or while at a specific location. The discounted, promotional or sale voucher is still a value and may be subject to price increases for an activity as described above if they are valid for more than 3 months. However, discounted or sale vouchers of less than 3 months validity will be honoured at the price and activity shown on the voucher during its validity period shown. Expired discount, promotional or sale vouchers have separate conditions for extension or reactivation and can only be converted to a full price voucher within 1 month of expiry by paying the price difference between the purchase price at the time and the current activity price and paying any additional related fees.

WALK-INS: 

We do not accept walk-ins or visitors other than persons accompanying a simulator flight participant without prior arrangement. Refer to other conditions for number of persons accompanying a simulator participant. All sessions must be pre-booked through the website. Occasionally short notice simulator sessions are available. If you wish to do a short notice session you can either book through the website, or if on the same day, phone to confirm a time and arrange payment before coming to the flight simulator. A simulator flight is only considered confirmed once the full payment is received in our bank account along with any applicable fees and charges.

REDEEMING A VOUCHER/BOOKINGS: 

Vouchers must be redeemed for a date before the expiry date. A change to a date after the voucher expiry date will not be permitted. See other related conditions. Please bring a copy of the gift voucher for verification along with ID.

To redeem the full motion helicopter experience you will need to contact us to arrange a time which has limited availability and may be conducted early mornings, evenings, or nights.

To redeem a “Try The Lot” you will need to contact us as we need to coordinate 3 simulators.

FLIGHT SIMULATOR SESSION TIMES: 

Flight simulator sessions start and finish at the booked/scheduled times. Simulator times cannot be extended unless arranged prior to the commencement of the session, and the additional fees paid.

Participants should arrive on site at least 15 minutes before the start of their booked session to allow for a briefing to be conducted before commencing.

If a client arrives late to a simulator session or briefing, the time lost will not be refundable and the session will not be extended to make up for the lost time.

If simulator time is lost due to a technical difficulty, we will make every effort to make up for the lost time either at the end of the session (if there is no following session), or at later time or date.

Any changes to booked simulator times will be advised to you as soon as we can

LATE ARRIVALS: 

If you arrive late for your briefing or the simulator session, your session flight time will be reduced accordingly so as not to impact or delay later bookings and the daily schedule.

NO SHOW: 

If you do not show up for a helicopter full motion flight simulator session or a Try The Lot, these will be treated as a no-shows and the flight and booking will be lost and there is no refund. 

If you do not show up for any other booked sessions this will be treated as a no-show and we will charge a $55 cancellation fee which must be paid before another booking is made, provided the voucher expiry date has not passed, in which case a reactivation/extension fee will also be charged.

CHANGES TO BOOKINGS BY THE BUSINESSES: 

While the businesses endeavour to conduct flights on the day they are booked, on occasions the businesses may need to change or cancel bookings at short notice. Where this occurs the businesses will arrange a new booking as soon as we can which may be on another day or time in the future. No change fee applies to these changes.

GROUP SESSIONS/CORPORATE EVENTS/TEAMBUILDING: 

We run corporate events, leadership, and team building and similar corporate events on a variety of flight simulators in Sydney. We also have event space in Sydney for hire. Email or call for more information on corporate events.

HIGH SCHOOL STEAM EVENTS AND AVIATION CAREERS DAYS AND INTERN PROGRAMS

We run High School STEAM events to fit in with school curriculum either as a one off or regular event in our Sydney facility. We also hold aviation careers days with high schools, TAFE and universities, as well as provide Intern programs.

SIMULATOR SESSIONS: 

While we do try to run sessions as indicated and include a Take-off and Landing and have an air engagement in all 30 and 60 minute missions, we cannot guarantee a landing or engagement as timings and profiles are dynamic and may be customised, and do vary for each session and the session may conclude with you still in the air, or you may run out of fuel etc.

Other flight simulators may be in use by other persons (unless you book the whole area or simulators for exclusive use). Please keep noise to a minimum inside and outside so as not to disturb other persons at the centre.

SIMULATOR SESSION PROFILES/CUSTOM & ADVANCED PROFILES: 

We run a standard simulator profile for first time participants. Return participants can choose a different profile or customise a profile in consultation with the instructor on the day. Reconfiguring for a non-standard profile takes time and slightly reduces the flight time available.

Advanced sessions are only available to persons who have already done at least 3 flights or are part of our “Club” or training program (if we offer them). This includes things like special missions, aircraft carrier, take-off and landings etc.

SESSION CANCELLATION/LATE CHANGE FEE: 

We charge a $55 cancellation fee which applies for no show or cancellation 72 hours prior to the day of scheduled booking time. This must be paid before another booking is made, provided the voucher expiry date has not passed, in which case a reactivation/extension fee will also be charged.

EXPIRED VOUCHERS: 

If a Voucher has expired the voucher cannot be extended under any circumstances. Expired vouchers are non-refundable in whole or in part. After a voucher has expired, it is no longer valid, and all transaction attempts will be declined. Any unused value at the date of expiry is forfeited.

We do sometimes permit expired vouchers to be reactivated within 1 month of expiry for no more than 3 months, and on payment of the price difference between the voucher price value and the current price for the activity or comparable current activity, plus a payment of $55 reactivation fee, and a credit card fee if applicable, which must all be paid before the voucher is reactivated or a booking permitted. This will be done if: you provide proof of purchase; and an order number and purchaser’s full name and purchaser’s email address; and we are able to verify you as the original purchaser or recipient. It is the voucher recipient’s responsibility to obtain and provide us with all required verification details.

Expired discount and sale vouchers have separate conditions as described above and extension or reactivation is at our discretion and is subject to additional fees to convert it to a full price voucher.

EXPIRED VOUCHERS FROM OTHER AGENTS:

If you have a voucher purchased or issued by an agent, you will need to contact them as we have no visibility or control over their vouchers.

SIMULATOR CENTRE SURVEILLANCE/VIDEO: 

The simulator centre is under 24-hour video and audio surveillance 7 days a week. This surveillance is for the protection of our equipment, staff, and property. All surveillance footage is kept for 6 months and is owned by the businesses. We reserve the right to use surveillance footage, both audio and video, captured onsite in any legally permitted manner.

FLIGHT SIMULATOR VIDEO: 

Video for your simulator session may be available and will be provided to you if the appropriate fee has been paid. This is not part of the centre security surveillance footage. We will ask for your approval to use any training or simulator footage or photographs in which you appear and can be identified before we used footage for publicity and promotional purposes. We encourage you to share video and images on social media and tag us in the posts.

If you decide you want to purchase a video please let us know before your flight so we can be sure to capture it for you.

Video may not be available in the full motion helicopter simulator. Please check before the session if you are considering purchasing a video of the full motion helicopter simulator flight.

OTHER TERMS: 

Purchasers agree to ensure information about themselves and gift voucher recipients including contact details is correct and complete at the time of purchase.

NO WARRANTY: 

The businesses do not give any guarantee or express warranty as to the suitability, or availability of the simulator flights and products. However, we have had thousands of satisfied customers over the years and we do our best to provide the best experience we can for all our customers.

LIABILITY: 

We are not liable for any loss or damage to property while you are waiting, participating or after an activity. It is your responsibility to take care of yourself (see Visitor WHS Obligations) and your property.

We are not liable for any expenses or losses or costs of any kind related to changing a date or time of a simulator session. We do try to mimimize any changes, although these may be beyond our control.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to correctly address gifts of flights and vouchers by email. We cannot be held responsible or liable for any missing or delayed orders where incorrect or incomplete email details have been provided. We are not liable or responsible for any loss suffered as a result of a flight booking or gift Voucher via email being blocked by filters or firewalls, or where the incorrect email address has been entered by the purchaser. If the recipient does not receive the email Gift Voucher, please contact us to send the voucher to an alternative email address. 

JOINT PROMOTIONS/VOUCHERS AND LIABILITY: 

The businesses may promote packages jointly with other related businesses and/or partners. The relationship with the partner is only related to the marketing of the joint products and promotion.

Each business is separately liable for the supply of their own product component/s related to the joint promotion.

The businesses are not responsible or liable for the product or any action, failure, omission, dispute or any other liabilities related to the other partners or parties to a joint promotion. Where any issues arise related to a partner’s products in a joint promotion the partner is entirely responsible for the issues etc related to their own product.

PRIVACY: 

The businesses mentioned in these terms and conditions may share your information to provide you with the flight simulator experience. The businesses don’t share your information with anyone else. Information collected is used in managing bookings and providing the simulator flight and details of future activities if you opt in. We may contact a participant or purchaser related to a purchase or booking, or a follow up related to the simulator flight to get your feedback. 

If you sign up to a newsletter, or email to be notified of specials or offers, you can unsubscribe at any time by sending us an email. If you do not sign up to a newsletter or email list we will not contact you about any specials or promotions.
